DFEWA Sommerakademie 2026 – Carei, Rumänien Die DFEWA Sommerakademie 2026 findet in Carei, Rumänien, statt und wird von den Dozentinnen Kamila Bednarska, PhD (Universität Rzeszów, Polen) und Dorothea Fleiss, PhD (DFEWA e.V., Deutschland) geleitet. Das Projekt entsteht in Zusammenarbeit mit der Universität Rzeszów und dem Studentenverband Polen . Ziel der Akademie ist es, Studierende und junge Künstlerinnen und Künstler aus mehreren Ländern zusammenzubringen, um gemeinsam an interdisziplinären Kunstprojekten zu arbeiten und den kulturellen Austausch zwischen Ost und West zu stärken. Die Teilnehmenden entwickeln während der Sommerakademie Werke in den Bereichen zeitgenössische Malerei , Künstlerbuch , Installation , Performance und experimentelle Kunstpraxis . Several Western and Eastern artists founded the non-profit association “dorothea fleiss & east‑west artists” (DFEWA) for professional artists in January 1998. The purpose of our association is to create a solid foundation for cooperation between artists from Eastern and Western countries. Our aim is to encourage and strengthen cultural and artistic exchange between outstanding artists shaped by different historical and cultural backgrounds. This dialogue between East and West is enriched by the close contact artists from around the world maintain with one another and with our association. Between 2000 and 2025 , more than 1,400 artists from 49 countries have participated in our DFEWA Residencies and in group exhibitions held across both regions — in Germany, China, Romania, Hungary, Serbia, France, Turkey, Austria, Morocco, Italy, Montenegro, India, the USA, and Chile .
